In the latest dev diary video Trey Parker and Matt Stone talk about some new features in the upcoming role-playing game South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Probably the biggest innovation, as compared to South Park: The Stick of Truth, is combat. It’s still turn-based, since it perfectly matches the game’s comical approach, but now fights are set on gridded fields that your characters can move around. South Park: The Fractured But Whole is currently planned to release on December 6, 2016 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Unlike it’s predecessor, the game is being created not by Obsidian Entertainment, but by Ubisoft San Francisco, and does not feature an epic fantasy adventure, but a superhero story. Although you still play as the New Kid, the protagonist of The Stick of Truth, he (or she) has to earn reputation from the start and learn whole new superpowers.
