Real-life Amsterdam Compared to CoD: MW2
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign launched more than a week ago, so since then players have become very familiar with the game's storyline. It turns out that the developers emphasize the visuals of their creation. This is evidenced, for example, by the appearance of Amsterdam.
A material presenting one of the missions of the Modern Warfare 2 story campaign is enjoying significant popularity on the web. Admittedly, there would be nothing remarkable about it, if it were not for the fact that - at least at first - the city of Amsterdam shown in the game looks hyper-realistic. As a result, one gets the impression that instead of the game we are watching the real capital of the Netherlands..
Realism or fiction? Comparison
To further emphasize the contribution of the developers to the mapping of the location, a video was created (you can watch it below), which compares the corners of the city presented in MW2 with the real ones.
Like I said at the beginning, not all elements of the landscape delight equally. Considering the passers-by (NPCs) themselves, we are still aware that we are in contact with a video game. Nevertheless, the level of realism captured in the latest Call of Duty deserves recognition.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - other information
Recall that as of today, i.e. October 28, all interested parties can start playing the entire Modern Warfare 2 (until last week, players enjoyed only the single player campaign).
This time, the multiplayer offers 12 modes (10 traditional and two Ground War modes). In addition, the Special Ops option initially provides 3 maps, however, with time more maps will be added to the game.
It's also worth mentioning that more than 50 unique weapons and 25 Operators await participants in the multiplayer struggles. An interesting fact is that daredevils who will complete the cooperative mission Low Profile, will unlock a new operator, Gromsko.
If by now you have not purchased your copy of MW2, you must remember that the physical edition of the game for consoles initially weighs about 70 GB. After installing the contents of the disc, your hardware will begin to download the necessary updates, which can increase the overall weight of the game to 160 GB (information applies to PlayStation 5).
