Mirror's Edge Catalyst PC system requirements revealed
EA and DICE have revealed the minimum and recommended specs for Mirror's Edge Catalyst on PC. See if your PCs are ready for the closed beta, which starts this week, a month before the full release.
With just a month untill the release of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Electronic Arts and DICE decided to reveal the minimum and recommended system requirements for its PC version. The new incarnation of the futuristic story-based parkour simulation is launching on May 24, 2016 for North America and May 26 for Europe on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 (the original Mirror’s Edge came out in 2007 for PC, X360 and PS3). Before you pre-order the game for PC, check out the specs:
Minimum system requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit (Service Pack 1)
- Processor: Intel i3-3250 / AMD FX-6350. (Note: Mirror's Edge Catalyst requires at least 4 logical cores to run.)
- RAM: 6 GB
- Hard Drive: At least 25 GB of free space
- Graphics card: GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB / Radeon R9 270x
- Input: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller
Recommended system requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (use the latest Service Pack)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz / AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz
- RAM: 16 GB
- Hard drive: At least 25 GB of free space
- Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970 4GB / Radeon R9 280x 3GB
- Input: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller
Before the game is out, some fans will be invited to play Mirror's Edge Catalyst closed beta, open April 22 through April 26 (those who haven’t been chosen as the so-called Frontrunners will get their access codes on April 23). The beta aims to test the game’s online features, but will also let players try out several story missions and side missions. The developer recommends installing the latest video drivers before playing beta – you will find them here (GeForce) or here (Radeon).
