Minecraft Player Invents TNT Method for Instant Tunnels

One of the Minecraft players has prepared a special data pack for the game, thanks to which we can create tunnels in no time. For this we need explosives, a piston and a flint.

As the title suggests, digging is an essential part of gameplay in Minecraft. However, sometimes it can be a bit tedious and take way too much time. One of the fans of Mojang AB's game, nicknamed jpdude98, decided to improve this process a bit. He prepared a simple trick, thanks to which we can create long tunnels in the game world practically in a few seconds.

First of all, we need to put a block with explosives on the ground. Then it is necessary to attach a piston to it, so that it can push it in the desired direction. Now, all we have to do is add additional TNT (there can be a maximum of 64 TNT on the "pile", which is equivalent to blowing up a 128-block-long tunnel) and use the flint on everything. This will result in a spectacular explosion that will instantly turn the ground and rocks into an empty space that we can easily get through.

Moreover, there is an option to add extra ingredients to the whole recipe, which will give the whole explosion different properties. Details can be found in the following video presentation prepared by jpdude98 himself.

To be able to use this method, we need to get the data pack prepared by jpdude98. It is available here. Once we've done that, we need to launch Minecraft, select a world, click Edit, and then click Open World Folder. Move the downloaded package to the datapacks folder in the opened location. Now that we've enabled the previously modified map, we should be able to enjoy the new, instant way to create tunnels.

As a reminder, this year will mark the tenth anniversary of Minecraft's release on PC. To date, the title has lived to see versions on numerous platforms, including Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as a number of spin-offs. Among them is last year's Minecraft: Dungeons.
