Ender Dragon to be a New Minecraft Spin-off? Microsoft Secures Brandname
Microsoft has applied to register the Ender Dragon trademark. As this is also the name of the final boss in Minecraft, the community began to speculate that it could be a new game from the popular universe.
A few days ago an announcement appread of Justia Trademarks that Microsoft has applied to register the trademark "Ender Dragon" for video games, toys, books and clothing.
Although the application does not reveal any details about what the said Ender Dragon is, many speculate that the project may be related to the popular Minecraft.

Why such speculations? Well, in the original game Ender Dragon is the final boss and one of its most distinctive elements. So it is possible that Microsoft is planning to create a spin-off to Minecraft centered around the famous beast.
There are also rumors that it could be about the canceled Scalebound series. However, this is less likely, given Ender Dragon's close ties to Minecraft. It is worth noting that trademark applications do not always result in actual products or services. Microsoft may have simply filed an application to protect the rights to the name.
So there is nothing left to do but to be patient and look out for more, this time official information. The waiting will certainly be made more pleasant by the release of Minecraft Legends. The spin-off of the original will be released on April 18 and will be available for PC, PS5, PS4, XONE, XSX/S, as well as Nintendo Switch.
