Minecraft: Dungeons - Creeping Winter DLC Release Date and Free Update
Mojang confirmed that at the beginning of September another expansion for Minecraft: Dungeons will debut, titled Creeping Winter. With its release, all players will also receive a free update.
Mojang announced that on September 8 another DLC for Minecraft: Dungeons will be on sale. The expansion titled Creeping Winter will offer the players snow-covered levels with new opponents and equipment. As was the case with the already released Jungle Awakens, the DLC will be available for free only for those who have purchased the game in the Hero Edition. Other people will have to pay for it. How much? So far it has not been specified.
The release of Creeping Winter will be accompanied by a free update, introducing several new elements to the game. Thanks to the update we will use the services of a blacksmith, improving our weapons and armor. We will also be able to increase the level of merchants, thanks to which they will offer us better items. We will also trade with other people in co-op mode much more efficiently. Besides, the game will receive daily refreshed challenges, for the completion of which we will receive interesting prizes.
The developers have also announced boxed versions of Minecraft: Dungeons for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, which contain all the existing content (patches and DLC). These will hit the store shelves on September 8.
Minecraft: Dungeons was released on May 26 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game is also available as part of Xbox Game Pass. The game met with quite a warm reception. The PC version has an average rating of 70% on Metacritic. Our editor also liked Mojang's game and gave it 7.5/10. The title also turned out to be a big commercial success, becoming the biggest digital debut of May.
