- Over 11.5 million people have already played Minecraft: Dungeons;
- That number includes both those who bought the game and those playing as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Last week, Minecraft: Dungeons celebrated its first birthday. On this occasion Microsoft prepared a lot of attractions, including an event with prizes that lasted for several days. Now, the publisher decided to share some interesting stats about the game.
First of all, we learned that so far Minecraft: Dungeons has been played by over 11.5 million people. This result should not be confused with the number of copies sold, as the game is also available in Xbox Game Pass. It was not revealed how many people play the title through this subscription and how many actually bought it. Nevertheless, the result shows how popular the project turned out to be.
It is worth adding that this February the creators boasted 10 million players. So you can see that Minecraft: Dungeons continues to attract new users.
Arch-Illager, the final boss in the basic version of the game, was defeated 1.4 million times on the highest difficulty (Apocalypse). Among the items, players most often used a double axe, a quick-fire crossbow, mystery armor and a greenish toadstool, the eating of which temporarily increases speed of movement and attack power.
During the game the player characters drank 1.1 billion bottles of healing potion and used 500 million tons of explosives.
Minecraft: Dungeons debuted on May 26 last year on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The project is also available for owners of Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The game is intensively developed. So far, five DLCs have been released for it, the last of which, Hidden Depths, debuted last week.
