Minecraft 1.17 Bug Lets Us Easily Get Rid of Indestructible Bedrock Blocks
Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Update brought a lot of new content. However, along with it, a bug appeared in the Bedrock Edition that enables us to easily remove resistant bedrock blocks.
The debut of the first part of the Caves & Cliffs update brought with it a lot of new features to Minecraft. But what would be a new version of any game without new bugs? We won't learn that from Minecraft 1.1.7, and one of the most interesting bugs (or exploits) opens up new possibilities for console players. Iinternet users report about a way to remove bedrock blocks, which are normally resistant to tools and explosions. The method only works within - ironically - the Bedrock Edition, the one available on consoles and one of two available on PC.
The above video posted on ItsMe James' YouTube channel was one of the first reports of this glitch. To reproduce the bug we need a Cauldron, two portions of Powder Snow and a bedrock placed over another type of block. We destroy the other block and replace it with a cauldron, into which we put the first portion of Powder Snow and try to do the same with the second. This, however, will cause it to appear above the cauldron, thus removing the bedrock.
The discovery is of little consequence to owners of Minecraft: Java Edition, who even without this bug (not working in this edition of the game, by the way) have other ways to get rid of the bedrock. However, those playing the Bedrock Edition can break through Nether's ceiling, but it's just a curiosity. The Bedrock Edition has an unfortunate (?) restriction that doesn't eallow us to build anything in this place, so the only benefit of breaking through to the Nether is the ability to travel "through" it more safely.
What's more, players can remove the bedrock from around the End gateways to gain easy access to them. It's also possible to make battle with the undead Wither a bit easier, as he will be unable to break free from the de facto indestructible blocks - we will only have to wait for the "automatic" death of the boss (although we note that this is not the only way to create this type of trap, the so-called Wither Killer).
If you want to take advantage of the bug, we recommend to hurry up. The previous bug enabling us to destroy bedrock in Bedrock Edition (with the help of characters) was quickly removed by the developers. It will probably be no different this time.
