Mech simulator fans can celebrate as the latest installment in the series, MechWarrior 5: Clans, is set to release on October 16, 2024. The MechWarrior series dates back to 1989, when the original MechWarrior premiered. MechWarrior 5: Clans is being developed by Piranha Games, the same studio behind MechWarrior Online and the somewhat less well-received MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. Despite this, the series still has a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaiting the release, looking for details on pricing and the exact release time.

MechWarrior 5: Clans will officially launch on October 16 at 5:00 p.m. PDT. While reviews aren’t out yet, that should change soon. In the meantime, you can check out new gameplay footage from the developer featuring the mission titled "Smuggler’s Den." We encourage you to watch and get a taste of what’s to come.
Price and editions
MechWarrior 5: Clans comes in two editions. Each of them will have a different pricing. The prices presented below apply to all platforms on which MechWarrior 5: Clans will be released; these include PC, PS5, and Xbox One.
- Standard Edition of MechWarrior 5: Clans will cost $49.99.
- Digital Collectors Edition of MechWarrior 5: Clans will cost $79.99.
MechWarrior 5: Clans Digital Edition will include base game plus some extra content in the form of:
- 70-page digital artbook, which will be updated post launch;
- 36-song digital soundtrack;
- Omnimech Technical Readout, which will also receive updates after the game release;
- Platinum mech patterns for all Chassis;
- A timber Wolf War omnitech with unique weapon loadout and skin.

MechWarrior 5: Clans on Game Pass
MechWarrior 5: Clans will be available on Game Pass on day one. Plus, you can already preload the game on Xbox Series consoles, with the file size coming in at 51.70 GB. It's also worth noting that Game Pass was celebrating its first year of including Activision Blizzard titles in its lineup a few days ago.
