Mechs Overloaded Helldivers 2 Servers. It’s „Fault” of Players Who Unlocked Them 4 Times Faster Than Devs Anticipated
The mechs have officially arrived in Helldivers 2. This happened four times faster than planned by developers from Arrowhead Game Studio, who had previously asked players to „help” liberate the Tien Kwan factory.
A surprise attack on the Tien Kwan factory was repelled, so the mechs finally entered the fray in Helldivers 2. The game servers couldn't handle the demand from the many Super Earth soldiers who desired them.
Helldivers 2 servers with problems (again)
Players showed their strength and determination in liberating the mech factory. Johan Pilestedt, the CEO of the Arrowhead Game studio responsible for creating and developing this popular shooter, was taken aback by their remarkable victory.
He wrote on X that the players released Tien Kwan four times faster than the devs expected. The increased fan activity resulting from checking out the new mech, however, led to servers overload. As Pilestedt pointed out, the team is already working on solving this issue.
Let us emphasize that this isn't the first problem with the Helldivers 2 servers. Previously, the developers had to increase their capacity due to the huge number of players willing to try the popular game.
Mechs are now available in Helldivers 2
The developers have officially confirmed the arrival of the long-awaited mechs at the beginning of this week. Currently available to players is the EXO-45 Patriot, which has 14 rockets and 1000 rounds in its minigun. While this kind of arsenal may appear impressive, it isn't possible to replenish the supply of missiles once they have all been fired. This means that once all their ammo is used up, the mechs are literally defenseless.
Some helldivers aren't happy with the news and are requesting an improvement to their walking weapons. They anticipated that those machines would have a significant impact on the outcome of the battles.
"These toys" are also not cheap. Currently, for a limited time, players can summon one mech for a mission for free. Once this "promotion" ends, the machines will only be available to unlock at level 25 and are expected to cost 20,000 supercredits.
Let us remind you that on March 14, the devs will release the Warbond: Cutting Edge pass, which will introduce new armor, capes, and, of course, weapons to the game. Perhaps it will compensate for the recent controversy caused by developers from the Arrowhead Game studio in conversations with fans on social media.
