Marvel's Midnight Suns Charmed Reviewers - Most But Not All
Marvel's Midnight Suns is not a rehash of Avengers. At least according to most reviewers who have already familiarized themselves with the game.
We had not very successful Avengers, we had much better (though still loss-making) Guardians of the Galaxy. How does another game with Marvel superheroes perform? Let's take a look at first reviews of Marvel's Midnight Suns, which hit the Internet today.

The first reviews speak well of Firaxis Games' title. Reviewers praise first of all simple and accessible, yet full of depth system of tactical battles. A large part of this is due to the variety of missions, which, admittedly, rarely match the best scenarios from Firaxis' earlier works (read: from the XCOM series), but offering relatively varied challenges.
Less unanimously rated were the other elements of Marvel's Midnight Suns. The emphasis on character relationships translated into narrative and humor that may not appeal to everyone, yet many reviewers were positively surprised by these elements.
Even the aforementioned community aspect has quite a few supporters, although there were also journalists who considered this mechanic to be perhaps the weakest element of the game.
Opinions also differ on the customization system. The characters are certainly very diverse, but their number and customization options were not enough for everyone. All of them also seem to be useful in combat (although it is better to withhold opinions on the balance of the gameplay until the crowds of players get there).
Some journalists also report technical problems. These include stiff character animations, not very successful voice actor performance, occasional performance drops and bugs, and crashes.
Some extend this "lack of polish" to the entire game, although they do not deny its charm. Nonetheless, for the time being, these comments are too rare to consider such glitches to be commonplace.
To sum up: Marvel's Midnight Suns is a very successful tactical strategy game that should appeal to Marvel fans. Gamers will verify these opinions on December 2, when the game will debut on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will also hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch at a later date.
