Turn-based RPG Lost Eidolons Coming to PC and Consoles
Fans of traditional fantasy RPGs can now rub their hands in glee. Lost Eidolons from Ocean Drive Studio is coming to PC and consoles.
- Ocean Drive Studio has announced Lost Eidolons;
- It is a classic RPG with a turn-based combat system;
- The game will appear in early access on PC this year.
Lost Eidolons will be Ocean Drive Studio's debut title. Developers describe the game as a classic RPG with a turn-based combat system. Tactical clashes, in which we will have to take into account the type of terrain, are to play a large role in the game. The complexity of the battles increases even more when we mention the numerous character classes, skills, and extensive array of gear. Unlike most RPGs Lost Eidolons will also enable us to lead much larger groups of warriors into battle. We will not be limited to follow only a party of heroes. Instead, the game will enable us to command a whole troop of soldiers.
As befits an RPG, the title is also to guarantee an engaging story. In Lost Eidolons we will have the opportunity to explore a completely new world called Artemesia. It's a classic, western fantasy setting. The plot will focus on a mercenary Eden, who, due to a conspiracy of a group of aristocrats, is thrown into the middle of the fight for the imperial throne. The devs also announced that the story will contain elements inspired by Chinese mythology. We can also expect extensive relationships with some of the side characters, with whom special missions will be associated.
From all of the above information emerges an image of a TPP RPG reminiscent of impressive games like Dragon Age with additional tactical elements and a turn-based combat system. The developers have clearly drawn inspiration from many different games to combine them into an original concept. Fans of such a set may already rub their hands in glee. The devs plan to release the game in 2022. This year, Lost Eidolons will be available in early access on PC. Later on, Ocean Drive Studio's RPG will be available on Xbox One (the developers didn't reveal which generation) and in the even more distant future on other consoles.
