Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 already in development. Space Marine 2 still remains a priority
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 development process has officially started. It's intended to be a „love letter” to the universe.

Warhammer fans have a big reason to celebrate today - Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive, and Games Workshop have officially announced the beginning of development on Space Marine 3. Devs promise a host of innovations and even more spectacular clashes.
Space Marine 3 "love letter" to the Warhammer 40K universe
Space Marine 2 continues to attract player interest, and the developers clearly plan to capitalize on this momentum. John Bert, Deputy CEO of Focus Entertainment Publishing, underlined in a statement posted on the publisher's website that the new installment will elevate the TPP action game genre to a new level, introducing even more spectacular battles on an unprecedented scale.
Meanwhile, Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive, emphasized how important the second installment of Space Marine was for the studio:
Space Marine 2 has proven to be a transformative game for Saber. It is the culmination of everything we have learned about game development in our 25 years in the business. We are now starting to develop Space Marine 3, a game that carries with it tremendous expectations from our rapidly expanding fanbase. […] We view this as an opportunity to create a true love letter to the Warhammer 40.000 universe.
It's worth noting that the first installment of Space Marine was released in 2011, and the second in 2024 (both in September). So we can only hope that the developers won't make us wait another 13 years... On a positive note, it's worth mentioning that in 2021... We received the first trailer for the sequel - so the release of Space Marine 3 may not be very far off.
Space Marine 2 still a priority
Although work on Space Marine 3 has already started, the developers are still focused on delivering new content for Space Marine 2. Soon, the game will receive a major 7.0 update, with its test servers going live today (allowing players to explore some of the new features). The developers' priority is also the horde mode, which is highly anticipated by fans.
We still have to wait for more information about Space Marine 3, but one thing is certain - "Your duty is not done."
