The fan remake of Lord of the Rings: Conquest looks great. The landscapes on the gameplay video are stunning.

The authors, the people at Team White Council, have given us permission to host a mirror of the game on our FTP.
Original message:
Quite a few games from the Lord of the Rings universe were released so far, and it's hard to point out the best one, as player opinions on the subject are divided. Many of them have very fond memories of The Lord of the Rings: Conquest from 2009, which featured satisfying gameplay and eye-pleasing visuals. As it turns out, this action game can look even better. This is proven by a fan remake being powered by Unreal Engine 5.
It looks beautiful!
The project is called Lord of the Rings: Conquest: Reimagined. In the video above you can see how the gameplay looks like on a PC with an RTX 4090. The views and the number of details are extremely impressive. Admittedly, the gameplay focuses mainly on exploration and admiring the views, but this was enough to find a lot of comments full of praise under the video.
"I had shivers the whole time! We need a single player game like this!"
"WOW! Amazing how this game looks"
While I agree, and while in terms of visuals the gameplay impressed me quite a bit, I have to admit that the animations of NPCs still don't look natural enough.
It should be noted, however, that Conquest: Reimagined is a project created by fans, not by a large and experienced development studio. If you want to see for yourself. what this game looks like, you can already download a demo.
Conquest: Reimagined is a fan-made single player / co-op remake of the original The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, ported to Unreal Engine 5. The team working on this project makes every effort to stay true to both the original game and the movies. Conquest: Reimagined is a non-commercial fan project currently in development.
