It can’t be denied that multiplayer games are extremely popular. If we look at top 5 titles with the highest 24-hour players peak on Steam (via SteamDB), we can see that all of them are focused on coop and PvP rather than solo experience. So, no wonder that one of the most popular demos during Steam Next Fest is the Fellowship playtest, which promises boss raids, like in MMORPG, without long hours of grind. Many people are charmed by this idea and would like to know when the game will be released.

Fellowship will be released this year

Fellowship is a coop game focused on difficult fights against bosses. If you always wanted to take part in one of the WoW raids, but had no patience to grind, this title might be for you. You can check it out during the ongoing playtest. However, sadly, we don’t know the 1.0 version release date yet. This is unlikely to happen soon, though. However, we have good news, too.

On the official Discord channel, moderators shared some information regarding the release date. The game is supposed to launch as an early access. Moreover, it is scheduled for later this year. So, soon enough, right? However, we still don’t know when exactly. We wouldn’t be surprised, if the ongoing playtest is the last test for Fellowship and developers before the premiere. If we are right, the results and feedback which developers gather during the demo will determine when we see the game. So, we should expect details regarding release soon after this event. It should last until March 3, stay tuned.
