Linking PSN Accounts With Steam is Available; Extras Await in Marvel's Spider-Man
PlayStation Network users can finally link their accounts to Steam. The first game to make this possible is Marvel's Spider-Man. The option carries a variety of rewards.
You may remember our August reports about Sony's plans to enable PC users to voluntarily join the PlayStation Network service. Now we can officially confirm this information. The PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man has become the first Sony game to enable users to link their Steam account to the PSN.
Update for Marvel's Spider-Man PC
Such a possibility appeared with the latest patch for the game. In addition to this option, the upgrade also brought support for Intel XeSS technology, updated AMD FSR to version 2.1.1 and fixed bugs related to ray tracing (more information on the patch can be found here).
Bonuses for joining PSN
What is also worth noting, gamers who choose to take advantage of the new feature will receive various bonuses. Among them will be the ability to unlock an optional costume for Spider-Man earlier and in-game skill points (full list below). In addition, Sony will provide us with... a regular stream of the latest information on PlayStation Studios' games for PC and consoles..
The company has even launched a special webpage, dedicated to linking Steam and PlayStation Network accounts.
Finally, let's recall that a few days ago Sony confirmed its desire to offer its live-service games simultaneously on PS5, PS4 and PC. The company will also actively support the PlayStation 4 in the coming years.
