Life by You Will Avoid Sins of The Sims 4; Release Date and Trailer

We've learned the details and release date of Life by You, the next competitor to The Sims 4. A trailer has also been released for the occasion.

Two weeks ago Paradox Interactive announced Life by You, another competitor to The Sims. At the time we received a teaser trailer, which did not reveal much. Now we have learned the first details about the game. They show that the developers from Paradox Tectonic have taken a lesson from the history of the development of The Sims 4 and will not repeat the same mistakes. The information is accompanied by the first gameplay trailer, available below.

The exact release date has already been announced. The title will debut in early access on September 12, this year, on Steam and Epic Games Store.

Specific information on Life by You were shared through a 20-minute presentation conducted by Rod Humble - head of Paradox Tectonic. It reveals that the title will draw by handfuls on the best solutions from The Sims 3. Of course, all mechanics will be modernized and more developed. Interestingly, content is not to be limited by expansions.

  1. The game from Paradox Tectonic will offer an open world without loading screens, which can be edited to a large extent. For example, plots can be moved around the map almost without limitations and placed anywhere.
  2. There will be the ability to comprehensively modify the appearance of furniture and clothing - from the color wheel to tools that enable us to determine what actions can be performed on an item.
  3. The character's life will also be observable and controllable from third-person perspective.. A somewhat similar feature (FPP view) also appeared in The Sims 4, however, it is more limited in the latter.

At the same time, there will be no shortage of a number of fresh ideas. Life by You will feature no invented speech. Instead, conversations will be conducted in real languages and generated based on events taking place in the game. Interestingly, there will also be a dialogue editor.

Of course, as befits a proposal from Paradox, Life by You will not lack support for mods. The whole game is to be prepared in such a way that those interested can not only add new objects, but also freely change game mechanics.
