Life by You PC

Life By You is a life simulator in which we can build a house and direct the lives of virtual humans. It's the debut game of Paradox Tectonic. The studio's ranks include Rod Humble, a developer formerly working for Maxis. The games he worked on include such classics as The Sims 2.

Mechanics

Gameplay-wise, Life By You heavily resembles The Sims. To start off, we must create a family using the in-game character creator.

Once we're done, our characters can start freely traversing the game's open world. There are no loading screens, the characters are controllable at nearly all times.

The game features many creator tools, letting us freely edit its world. Plots of land can be rearranged to our liking. We can also define the town's population, their ages, races and many others.

The player can design building interiors as well, planning room layouts and choosing furniture. Objects can also be heavily customized, their color can be changed through a color wheel and we can determine which actions can be performed on every single object.

We must take care of our characters as well, fulfilling their needs, such as hunger.

Technical aspects

Life by You includes extensive modding tools, letting players add entirely new assets to the game and change its mechanics.
