Leak Reveales First Diablo 4 DLC; Rumors of New Class and Kurast From Diablo 2
Reliable dataminers, having dug through Diablo IV's files, have discovered mentions of the first expansion to come to the game in the future.
After last week Diablo IV landed on Steam, it was only a matter of time until dataminers looking for interesting information in games on Valve's platform would dig through Blizzard's hack 'n' slash files. That's exactly what happened, and the discovery they came across most likely pertains to the first expansion for the game (via Wccftech).
- Details, which players managed to get from the technical alpha of version 2.0 of Diablo IV, suggest that the DLC will most likely be titled Lord of Hatred, and its main antagonist will be Mephisto, well known to fans of the series.
- In addition, the expansion is expected to include two new regions: Teganze Plains and Torajan Jungles. Interestingly, players will supposedly also be able to visit the city of Kurast, well-known from Diablo II.
- However, this is not the end of the story. Lord of Hatred is expected to offer a system of mercenaries, who will have ability trees and their own equipment.
- The list of novelties will reportedly be completed by a new character class referring to the spirit of nature. Spiritborn - because that is its potential name - is to be something like the Shaman from "three" and fight with gems.
- The game files also mention the creation of new runestones and - attention please - the raid functions.
It is worth noting that the news about the expansion for Diablo IV does not constitute anything new. After all, Blizzard has long ago declared that the game will receive one story expansion each year..
Nevertheless, it should be remembered that the above reports have not yet received any comment from the developers. Therefore, we should arm ourselves with patience and expect an official position on the matter. Perhaps we will learn the details on November 3, during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2023..
