League of Legends to get a board game called Mechs Vs. Minions
Are you a fan of League of Legends and board games? Then Mechs Vs. Minions will be right up your alley. Riot Games is apparently working on a 4-player board game set in their MOBA universe.
Riot Games, the developers of the world’s most popular MOBA League of Legends, are currently working on a board game adaptation of their flag product, called Mechs Vs. Minions. This information comes from Shut Up & Sit Down, but the mention of it has since been deleted from the article (there is a copy of it saved by a Reddit user here) – perhaps the news was brought up too soon. Mechs Vs. Minions is said to launch this year in a couple of months from now. It’s US price will be set at around $80, which is a great deal considering the content it is to offer.
Mechs Vs. Minions is supposed to include a co-op campaign for 4 people. Throughout a series of missions, players will have to program mechs and then send them out against hordes of minions, the little creeps known from the original League of Legends. One of Mechs Vs. Minions’ biggest strengths will be its rich content, including high-quality painted figurines, which look like taken directly from LoL, colorful board, wide range of action cards, an hourglass, etc. These and other gadgets are seen in the photographs in this news (originally posted by SU&SD).
