Kerbal Space Program 2 Update Adds Exploration Mode; More and More Praises
Kerbal Space Program 2 has received the For Science update. Its biggest highlight is a new exploration mode focusing on scientific research and technology development.
Developers of Kerbal Space Program 2 have prepared a nice gift for their fans, releasing a new update before Christmas. It is marked with the number 0.2.0 and the title For Science.
- The patch introduces a new type of campaign in the form of the so-called exploration mode. In it, while completing missions, conducting experiments and traveling through the Kerbolar System, we collect scientific data, such as measurements, samples or research, and exchange them for new technologies in the Research and Development Center. All of this is done through an extensive technology development tree.
- The update also introduced thermal effects when entering the atmosphere.
- The articulation system has been improved, making large vehicles less wobbly.
- The ambient sound effects have been updated.
- A new boat dock has been introduced - along with cranes and gantries.
Kerbal Space Program 2 debuted in early access this February. For the time being, the game has been released exclusively on PC, but console editions are also in further plans.
To celebrate the release of the update, a discount has been organized on Steam, with the price of the game reduced by 20%. The offer will remain valid until January 4 next year.
