Johnny Depp's Fans Want Him Back in Pirates of the Caribbean Too

The conflict between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has recently become a source of many online initiatives. Even a petition created 2 years ago, in which fans fight for Jack Sparrow's return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, came back to life.

The trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is not a matter of weeks or even months. Nevertheless, a rather frash action stirred a lot of indignation among the fans, namely WB forcing the actor to step down from the role of Grindelwald in Fantastic Animals 3 in connection with the trial he lost against The Sun magazine, in which he was proved to have used domestic violence against Amber Heard. However, the star's fans disagree with the court's ruling and decided to take matters into their own hands.

Recently, a very popular petition for removing Amber Heard from the cast of Aquaman 2 (at the moment it has over 1.4 million digital signatures) has been making waves on the web. Now it is also appropriate to mention another appeal of Internet users in this case, as they revived a two-year-old manifesto of Riza Siddiqui, whose main demand is that Johnny Depp be reinstated to the role of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Here's the thing. Disney has been announcing a reboot of the series for several years now, but it does not take into account the return of its main star. Although it is difficult to imagine lack of Sparrow in subsequent movies or Depp being replaced by another actor (although Warner Bros. didn't hesitate to do so on the occasion of Fantastic Animals 3, as we hear about Mads Mikkelsen replacing Depp), it should also be taken into account that in this case we are talking about a reboot, so changes in the cast would be justified. Nevertheless, the petition has already managed to collect 300 thousand signatures out of the 500 thousand required.

It's hard to predict whether the community's voice will somehow be noticed by the biggest record companies, although we have to remember that, apart from moral issues, it's all about big money. However, observing the reactions of the Internet community to the current Hollywood controversy is quite interesting, as they show the willingness of the fans to speak. Nevertheless, we can feel a slight disgust that someone's private life is the main object of such loud debates.
