Jagged Alliance 3 (JA3) - How to Get PSG1 Sniper Rifle
The PSG1 Sniper Rifle in Jagged Alliance 3 is a powerful weapon you might miss if you make the wrong choice in a certain quest. Find out how to get it in this guide.
The PSG1 Sniper Rifle is sought after by Jagged Alliance 3 players because of its powerful stats and its customizability. However, depending on your choices, this rifle may become completely unobtainable in the game. Our guide will tell you how to obtain it.
How to get the PSG1 Sniper Rifle in Jagged Alliance 3
Siegfried’s Quest
The rifle is tied to a quest that starts in the Drachenberg Mine in sector B12. To begin, you have to talk to the NPC Siegfried Von Essen who asks you to retrieve stolen Diesel. The task requires collecting clues, which can be found by:
- Investigating Siegfried’s desk;
- Investingating the fuel tank near the Drachenberg Mine, or one of the houses nearby,
- Going to the night club in Landsbach, talking to Bounce,
- Checking the laptop in the office upstairs of the night club,
- Fighting Bonecrusher in a cage fight or paying Mole $5,000,
- Inspecting a wrecked van at the Old Gas Station with Travis.
Fighting Bonecrusher – tips
If you choose to fight Bonecrusher, you might have trouble beating him without the right characters and preparation. The key is choosing a merc that has the highest possible Agility and Dexterity. This will allow you hit Bonecrusher more easily and inflict status effects.
The best candidate is Blood, but if you do not have him, Thor, Ice or Wolf are good choices.
Equip your fighter with the Full Body Contact perk, which gives Grit on each strike you land. Aim for the neck, arms and groin of Bonecrusher. This way, he will take additional choking damage, have less chance to hit and one less move per turn. Be careful not to miss!
Obtaining the PSG1 Sniper Rifle
Once you’ve gathered all your clues, you will have to go west of the Station, defeat enemies and loot the vans to find the Diesel. However, if you want to obtain the PSG1 Sniper Rifle, you must not bring it back to Siegfried.
Instead, find Bounce in Landsbach at B13. He will offer you a deal to exchange the Diesel for his best gun. This is the only way to get the PSG1 Sniper Rifle in the game.
The alternative is to go back to Siegfried and receive the Drachenberg Mine and all proceeds from it as a reward. It’s up to you to decide which ending you prefer. Keep in mind that money can be obtained in different ways, and the PSG1 is considered one of the best rifles in JA3.
