I.G.I. Origins Launch Later Than Expected
We finally got some new information about I.G.I. Origins. The developers revealed when we can expect its release and what is their attitude towards the game.

- In the near future, the devs plan to regularly inform the players about the progress of work.
I.G.I. Origins is a sequel to the spy shooter series, whose last installment was released in 2003. Since then, the series has not been dusted off by any studio. In 2019, it caught the attention of AntiMatter Games, which began work on a new installment. A few months later, the first trailer was released, but unfortunately, no new information about the game has been shared with fans since then. Until now.
In the video released by the developers we can listen to the game's director, Rich Barham. He admitted that he is aware of the fans' uneasiness, which could be fanned by the lack of any announcements about the game. He assured that work on I.G.I. Origins is coming in the right direction. He also revealed information about the expected release date. The game is to hit the stores in 2022. Unfortunately, for now, the devs are not able to narrow down the above date. This is also a delay compared to earlier schedule. Originally, the game was supposed to be released this year.
In addition, Barham referred to the legacy that is associated with the I.G.I. series. He pointed out that the whole team is aware of how groundbreaking the first installment of the series was. He also admitted that he knows how high the expectations of the fans are. The way to meet them is to keep the spirit of the original intact while using all the means and techniques that the game industry has developed over the years. The devs also asked the players for their opinions and took their comments to heart when implementing certain elements into the game.
So far nothing more has been revealed. Barham confirmed that the studio is slowly entering a period in which it will increasingly inform fans about the progress of work on the title. In the nearest future we can expect more videos presenting I.G.I. Origins. For now we can only wait patiently.
