Hunt Showdown - Is Prestige Worth It
When playing Hunt: Showdown you will have to deal with the prestige system. If you're wondering how exactly it works and whether it pays to invest in it, you'll find the answer here.
In Hunt: Showdown there is a system of prestige. It enables you to gain access to various rewards in exchange for resetting your progress and achievements. If you are curious about how this system works and whether it is worth increasing prestige, you will find the answers here.
What is prestige in Hunt: Showdown?
Prestige in Hunt: Showdown can be increased when your Bloodline reaches level 100. However, you must keep in mind that this means for you to go back to level 1 and lose all your progress:
- the hunters located in your Roster will disappear;
- your inventory will be emptied of all items;
- you will lose access to the weapons and perks you have unlocked so far;
- Your account balance will be 4000 Hunt Dollars.
In exchange for such a move, you can collect one of three rewards:
- a legendary item;
- a 10% bonus to gained experience
- an additional 2,000 Hunt Dollars to start.
However, there are some exceptions. At prestige level 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100, the same rewards - legendary weapons - are always and for everyone.
You can see your current prestige if you hover over the icon located in the upper left corner. However, it will activate only at level 100 of Bloodline. Remember that if you press it then, it will mean an account reset. However, you do not have to rush - it is your decision.
Is it worth increasing prestige in Hunt: Showdown?
The profitability of prestige in Hunt: Showdown is debatable. Out of the rewards you receive for completing it, only legendary items are worth noting. So if you like to collect weapon skins, this is a good source to obtain them, because you do not have to pay for them.
Prestige is also a good option for players who like challenges. This is because they can start from scratch, without access to the best weapons available in Hunt: Showdown. In this way you effectively polish your skills.
However, if you do not care about skins and you like to play without excessive pressure, it is not worth increasing prestige. This is because it will force you to unlock everything from scratch and will only cause frustration.
