Seekers of the Storm, DLC to Risk of Rain 2, introduces a lot of fresh content. Of course, most people are interested in new Survivors like Chef and False Son. However, we can’t forget about other additions like a mysterious shrine or some items (you don’t want to get Warped Echo, believe me). Let’s concentrate on the last group in this article. Many players don’t see a potential in Longstanding Solitude. We will tell you how to use this item.

How to Use Longstanding Solitude in Risk of Rain 2 (RoR2)

Longstanding Solitude is a unique item because it changes your gold into experience. So, you can’t spend money on items. However, in exchange, you can get free purchases on Level Up. Many players report that this “deal” is not worth it and the item needs a buff.

The trick to properly use it is multiplayer. If you have 4 people working towards the next level, the progress is much faster and purchases for completed levels will be much quicker. Moreover, it is good to combine Longstanding Solitude with Brittle Crown, as this item has no downside if the player does not accumulate gold.

However, you have to watch out, as you can softlock yourself if you happen to enter Gilded Coast. You can’t get new Survivors, too.
