NBA 2k25 is the newest installment of popular series of sports games focused on basketball. Although the official launch is tomorrow, everyone who has bought the game can enjoy its early access (yes, we know that it looks like a full release but developers call it Early Tip-Off). If you took the opportunity, and installed the title, you might have wondered what’s going on with new Shot Meter. From this guide you will learn how to turn off this function.

How to Turn off Shot Meter in NBA 2k25

In NBA 2k25 developers from Visual Concepts changed how the Shot Meter looks like. Many people don’t understand how it works right now. You can find a post on Reddit that explains the changes. It shows that Shot Meter animations is synchronized with the button press time – it disappears when you should release the button. So, you can use it to perfectly calculate throws.

Those, who don’t want to use Shot Meter, can disable this feature. However, it is not so simple. This option is very well hidden. So, how to do this?

  1. Open the menu and choose MyPLAYER tab.
  2. Go to the Aminations and open Customize Hud.
  3. Open Shot Meter Shots menu. There you can configure how this function works. You can turn it off completely or choose in which situations Shot Meter will appear.

NBA 2k25 has a complicated start. Difficult to understand Shot Meter isn’t the only problem in the game. Players also complain about controller problems and crashing on startup.
