How to Revive in Nuclear Nightmare. Respawn System Explained
If you are unsure how the respawn system in Nuclear Nightmare works, here you will find an answer that will allow you to revive your teammates.
It is not always necessary to rock bleeding edge graphics technology and have a genius as a scriptwriter to attract players. Sometimes, all a game needs are a bit of chaos and fun that comes with it. Sprinkle it with a little horror, add a pinch of friends and there’s a good chance for success. We’ve seen a similar scenario with Lethal Company, and now we can venture into a world struck by a nuclear apocalypse in Nuclear Nightmare. As the gameplay can get erratic, death is a common phenomenon. However, it is possible to revive your allies, yet it requires some specific conditions to be fulfilled. Here you will learn more about how the respawn system works and what its limitations are.
Reviving in Nuclear Nightmare explained
It is not surprising that many fans are confused about how respawn system works in Nuclear Nightmare. It is a bit more complex than in many other games, so let’s break it down. There are a couple of requirements that need to be fulfilled before even thinking about calling in reinforcements, which is how the respawns are called in this title:
- Having said reinforcements enabled in the lobby by the host,
- Completing at least one Classified Objective first.
With those conditions fulfilled, there is one more mechanic to know about – Reinforcement Tokens. At the start of a run, 10 tokens are assigned to your team, yet its number is deducted by the difficulty chosen by the host, with the simultaneous increase of classified materials needed to collect for calling an evac helicopter. The numbers go as follows:
- Easy: 2 classified materials required – 8 reinforcement tokens available,
- Normal: 4 classified materials required – 6 reinforcement tokens available,
- Hard: 6 classified materials required – 4 reinforcement tokens available,
- Nightmare: 8 classified materials required – 2 reinforcement tokens available.
That’s unfortunately not all, because you have to get to a laptop first in order to call the reinforcements. On top of that, there is one more, crucial requirement – the player that had died, cannot have been infected and turned into a monster. If the turning has happened, such person cannot be brought back. There are some situations where it’s possible, yet those are believed to be a bug and will probably be fixed in one of the upcoming patches.
Keep in mind that this mechanic will be changed to some extent, as the developer confirmed it. However, we will see how much.
Hopefully, now you will know how to respawn your friends and when it’s possible. Make sure that you do all it takes to prevent downed players from being turned into monsters, as it will render the revival impossible. Good luck!
