Optiwand is a crucial tool for a SWAT member. It allows you to see what is happening on the other side of the closed door. It is important to learn how this device works. Many players don't know what to do when a message telling them to equip Optiwand appears during the tutorial. At this stage, you should simply walk ahead until you reach the next door and use the mentioned item. You can take it out by pressing the 5 key. Remember that by going into the game settings you can preview what action is assigned to the key. That's all you need to do, and the fact that so many players have trouble at this stage is proof that the game's tutorial is hardly intuitive at this point.
