Ready or Not is a tactical first-person perspective shooter in which you take on the role of a member of the SWAT police unit. The game involves carrying out a variety of missions in which you have to rescue hostages or catch terrorists. Some players who want to add even more immersion to this title, install various mods. However, these can be problematic in terms of various bugs and corrupted game files. If the Corrupt Data problem concerns you and you don't know how to deal with it, we encourage you to read our guide.

How to Fix Corrupt Data Issue in Ready or Not

If you launch Ready or Not, and after a while you get a message that mentions Corrupt Data, it is most likely due to mods. If you have installed them, do not, under any circumstances, use the option to clear mods at startup. There is a good chance that you will delete your maps and records, and still not get rid of all mods.

Fortunately, the community has found a solution to this problem. To fix the issue properly, start by right-clicking on Ready or Not in Steam and select Properties. Then go to the installed files and click Browse. Navigate to the ReadyorNot/Content/Paks folders.

Once there, delete the files that do not have “pakchunk0-20-windows” in their names. At the very end, all you have to do is to go back to the game's properties via Steam and click the verify the game files option.

Remember that this situation can happen again, so do not download old mods that have not been updated after version 1.0. Most likely, these are the ones that cause Corrupt Data. While the above solution fixes the error, you might want to disable working mods in the future for different reasons. We have a guide which can help you do just that.
