Horizon 2 Forbidden West on PS5 Will Launch in 2021

Guerrilla Games has announced that Horizon: Forbidden West will not be released until next year. Moreover, thanks to the power of the PS5, the game will be loading screen-free.

A week ago, Sony announced Horizon: Forbidden West on PlayStation 5, a continuation of the 2017 hit from Guerrilla Games. However, the planned release date was not announced at the time. Now we know that we will wait for the game until next year.

This news was provided by Mathijs de Jonge in a new video, in which he also spoke about the technical aspects of the game. Thanks to the speed of PS5's SSD, Horizon 2: Forbidden Westwill feature virtually no data loading screens. We won't even see loading screens when using fast travel from one end of the map to the other.

Mathijs de Jonge also revealed that the eponymous Forbidden West is an area stretching from Utah State to the Pacific. The map will be slightly larger than in the previous game, and the area available to the player will be increased by underwater locations. While playing, we will encounter dozens of new types of robots. Horizon 2 will also feature unknown tribes of people, only some of whom will be peaceful. One of the enemy groups will be able to reprogram the machines and use them as battle beasts in combat.
