Halo The Master Chief Collection With Halo Reach Coming to Steam
Microsoft and 343 Industries announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is finally coming to PC. The set will include not only the first four installments of the cycle but also Halo: Reach. What's more, the collection will also be available on Steam
Microsoft surprised PC gamers by announcing that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC. What is interesting, however, the set will include even more than the original Xbox One version. In addition to Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2, Halo 3 (along with the Halo 3: ODST campaign) and Halo 4 we will also get Halo: Reach, the last installment of the cycle developed by Bungie.
Even more surprising is the fact that the PC version of the collection will be available not only on the Microsoft Store, but also on Steam. The productions released by Microsoft are usually offered only on the former. While there are exceptions to this rule (e.g. Killer Instinct), they are rare.
- Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,
- Halo 2,
- Halo 3,
- Halo 3: ODST campaign,
- Halo: Reach.
343 Industries, which is in charge of the project, ensures that it will do its utmost to match Halo: The Master Chief Collection to contemporary PC standards, so that we get 4K resolution, HDR support and 60fps, among other things. This will require a lot of work, so the games in the set will not be sold at the same time. Halo: Reach will debut first because in the chronology of the universe of the series production is set before the events of the first installment. Then we get Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST campaign, and finally Halo 4. All titles will be part of one collection, but each of them will also be available for purchase separately.
The authors have not forgotten about Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One. They will receive the multiplayer content of Halo: Reach for free. The story campaign and cooperative Firefight mode will be made available as a paid DLC.
