- A Korean age rating organization has rated Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition;
- This fits in with earlier rumors regarding the remaster of the GTA trilogy;
- Unfortunately, there is no release date posted on the website.
For some time now, rumors about a remaster of the GTA trilogy, which would include the third installment as well as Vice City and San Andreas, have been circulating online. Until now it was difficult to assess whether we should believe them. Now we can be almost sure that refreshed versions of the aforementioned games are in the pipeline.
The rumors have gained credibility thanks to the Korean video game age rating organization. The website of Game Rating and Administration Committee (via PC Gamer) added a rating for a game called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. It was classified as intended only for adults.
Unfortunately, no additional information about the game was included. We do not know the release date. There was also no indication as to on which platforms it is to launch. The fact that it appeared on the organization's website may mean that we will soon get an official announcement of the remaster.
According to rumors that appeared earlier on the web, the refreshed version of the trilogy is being developed using the Unreal Engine technology by Rockstar Dundee, the Swedish branch of GTA's devs. According to leaks, it was supposed to launch on the market already last year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic significantly delayed the work.
