GTA: San Andreas VR is Being Developed by the Team Behind L.A. Noire VR

The team which brought L.A. Noire to virtual reality is responsible for GTA: San Andreas VR. This gives hope for a decent port.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR is being developed by the team that brought L.A. Noire to virtual reality.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR, which is being developed for Oculus Rift 2, is the responsibility of Australian studio Video Games Deluxe. The team has several projects to its credit, including the very warmly received L.A. Noire VR Case Files, which gives solid grounds to believe that it's not going to be a decent VR port of GTA.

The information appeared on the company's official profile on LinkedIn. It reveals that Video Games Deluxe plans to expand the team. Currently, the studio employs less than 10 people.

We don't know much about the project itself. New information will probably appear during the Oculus Gaming Showcase event, announced for next year. The potential of older game ports to virtual reality was clearly shown on the occasion of the recent debut of Resident Evil 4. Capcom's hit was adapted to Oculus Rift 2 and collects excellent reviews.
