Impostor Stages GTA6 AMA Session on Reddit, Gets Exposed in Minutes
An AMA session took place on Reddit, in which one of the users talked about GTA 6. He presented, among other things, an alleged world map from the game. However, it quickly turned out that the user is a fraud, and the images he/she published were stolen.
Yesterday, a picture allegedly showing fragments of the map from GTA 6 appeared on the Internet. Some people believed the leak, but there was also a group of skeptics suggesting that we're dealing with a hoax. As it turns out, it caused such a commotion that a certain Reddit user decided to keep the topic alive a bit longer and, trying to present himself or herself as a reliable source, organized an AMA session dedicated to Rockstar's unannounced game. Almost immediately it turned out that this was just an attempt to draw attention.
When starting the whole thread, alleged source presented graphics showing the map, which we will supposedly visit in GTA 6. It showed more than we've seen so far, so at first glance it may have seemed real. However, this image was nothing more than a poor quality screenshot of a graphic published by another Reddit userwho created it based on previous leaks and his own imagination. The original image can be seen below.

Additionally, when the moderation attempted to verify the user, the organizer was unable to prove that he is someone who can actually provide credible information. As a proof of credibility, the user sent a painted over badge, supposedly being an identification card of Rockstar employees.
This situation perfectly illustrates the community's hunger for new information about GTA 6. You can publish any "leak" and quickly gain attention. This example, however, shows that you should always be careful with all kinds of rumors.
