GTA 6: Schreier Confirms Henderson's Reports on Map and Release Date
Bloomberg's Jason Schreier confirmed that Tom Henderson's reports regarding the map and release of GTA 6 agree with what he himself has heard about Rockstar Games' title.
A week ago we cited new leaks from Tom Henderson about Grand Theft Auto VI. The insider raised issues such as release date, setting or the number of characters in the next installment of the series. Particular attention of the community was attracted by information related to the still very distant release of the game - according to Henderson, the earliest we could play it is in 2024 or 2025. Yesterday, they were confirmed, or at least became more credibl, on Twitter by Jason Schreier, a well-known Bloomberg journalist.
Schreier responded to the entry of one of the users, who attributed a leak to the journalist, according to which GTA 6 would come out in 2023. There were so many mutually exclusive rumors about the release of the game that the Internet user had the right to make a mistake, to be honest. Schreier wrote bluntly that he doesn't know where that idea came from, after which he revealed that everything Henderson said about the game matches his own knowledge.
This not only applies to the release date of GTA 6 - which is expected to be a long way off due in part to GTA Online's continued profitability - but also the game's setting, and the many protagonists we'll be able to play as, in the likes of Michael, Franklin and Trevor in GTA 5. As for the former, according to Henderson, a the sixth game will take us back to modern times, as the 1980s would be limiting for the developers. As for the second, we didn't find out how many characters will be playable, only that one of them will be a woman familiar with technical skills, such as hacking.
So we have the same information coming from two reliable sources. However, it still doesn't allow us to say for sure when GTA 6 is coming out and what form it will take. We've been waiting a long time for details - the fifth debuted in 2013 - and it looks like this state of affairs will not change soon.
