Gothic 2's Khorinis Recreated in CS:GO

Another example of CS:GO community's creativity emerges from Steam Workshop. One modder created a map that replicates the port district of Khorinis from Gothic 2.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. A fan-made map porting the city of Khorinis from Gothic 2 to CS:GO is now available in Steam Workshop;
  2. The map features models and textures from the original game, to be played in deathmatch.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive offers a wealth of opportunities for modders and map makers of all kinds. From time to time we report on new creative ideas for new arenas in Valve's popular FPS. This is no different in this case - user Dizz shared his new map in Steam Workshop, which reproduces the port district of the city of Khorinis from Gothic 2.

Description of the arena on Steam Workshop is short and concise:

"For all fans of the Gothic game series i present you dm_khorinis - the harbor of Khorinis city

The map includes:

- Fully ported 3d models and textures from original game;

- Other city parts made as 3d skybox;

- Up to 12 players."

The dm_khorinis map offers a faithfully reproduced port with its adjacent streets. Enthusiasts of Piranha Bytes' game will surely recognize the characteristic buildings known from the original, such as the inn or the Red Lantern brothel. The map enables us to play matches in deathmatch mode. The author has already announced that he plans to port the entire city to CS:GO . Fans of the Gothic series will surely await the results of this work with interest. If you'd like to see for yourself what Khorinis looks like in Counter-Strike, please follow this link.
