We have announced the release date of Ghostrunner on 9th-generation consoles. The action game will receive a next-gen upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S versions on September 28. The title will be available in both digital and boxed editions (via Games Press). It has also been confirmed that the retail edition of Ghostrunner for Nintendo Switch will hit the European market on June 25.

Ghostrunner's debut on more powerful platforms will bring with it a handful of improvements, Starting with 4K resolution support and 120 fps animation. The publisher also promises no long loading screens and the ability to enable ray tracing and 3D audio. On PlayStation 5, the title will also take advantage of one of the new features of the DualSense controller, namely haptic vibrations.

Excluding the new features unavailable on PS4 and XONE, the next-gen edition of Ghostrunner will include all content added after the game's November release. This includes the challenging Hardcore Mode, a photo mode and the upcoming Wave Mode (which introduces roguelike mechanics) as well as Assist Mode (which makes gameplay a little easier). The price is set at 29.99 euros. It should be noted, however, that 505 Games will enable us to upgrade PS4 and Xbox One editions of Ghostrunner to the version for a newer platform of the respective manufacturer. Recall also that after the success of the game, the Poles are already working on its sequel.
