How to unlock the Spices From the West event.
Spices From the West is a limited-time event that runs from May 14 to June 7, 2022. It is part of the Genshin Impact 2.6. To participate you must:
- Have an Adventure Rank of 20 to be able to create spices;
- have an Adventure Rank of 28 and complete the Idle Teapot Talk quest to be able to cook dishes and invite companions to your Serenitea Pot for tasting.
What does Spices From the West bring to Genshin Impact?
A Visitor From Westward Realms quest is available during the Spices From the West event. You can complete this quest in Liyue Harbor. If you decide to complete it, you will meet Nazafarin, who will ask you to help him with his research. To do so, you must provide him with spices created from specific recipes.
In return for your help, you will receive rewards such as:

- Hero's Wit
- Weapon Ascension Materials
- Mystic Enhancement Ores

How to prepare the recipes?
When you have collected enough ingredients to create spices, you can begin preparing them. The process itself is very simple. After selecting the recipe you want to prepare, you will be taken to a special panel. Above the cauldron you can see what ingredient needs to be added now. At the bottom of the screen there is a bar. To select the appropriate item, you must click when the moving pointer is on the colored field under the corresponding picture.
Keep in mind that you have a predetermined number of attempts each day. Therefore, you need to follow the recipes carefully.
What can you use the spices for?
If you have reached Adventure Rank 28 and completed the Idle Teapot Talk quest, you can add the Spices you created to Delicious Dishes. This will create Fragrant Dishes.
You can then invite your companions to the Serenitea Pot for taste sampling. Whether they like a particular meal or not depends on their personal taste. They will receive extra experience for performing this action.
