GeForce RTX 3080 Benchmark in Ashes of the Singularity
A benchmark of Nvidia's RTX 3080 was leaked. First results indicate a significant performance increase over the previous generation.
Lurking just around the corner for a long time, the launch of Nvidia's new graphics cards was a lot more exciting than originally expected. They impressed us with their great game performance, scared with size and encouraged withgainst. Today, a well-known Twitter "leaker" known as _rogame shared (and how) leaks from a benchmark of RTX 3080 in Ashes of Singularity.
From the average results we can learn that RTX 3080 is about 27% faster than RTX 2080 Ti at 4K resolution. Unfortunately, we don't know what the card's clocks were, or whether it was a reference model or not. There is also a high probability that Ashes of the Singularity itself is not yet properly optimized for Ampere cards, and the drivers from Nvidia were certainly a beta build. Due to all the aforementioned doubts, there is a chance that the final results will be better. Nevertheless, what we see now indicates a significant increase in performance compared to Turing.
GeForce RTX 3080 GPU will debut on the market on September 17, this year. It will be equipped with 8704 CUDA cores and 10 GB of GDDR6X RAM.
