IGN published a 9-minute gameplay from Liberated, the debut title from Atomic Wolf. The video shows the basic gameplay mechanics that have been implemented in the game.
Gameplay clearly shows us the characteristic graphic design. The game adopts a dark, comic-book-like style. Cutscenes are not a continuous animation and consist of separate images, in which sequences of quick-time events will also appear. Instead of spoken dialogues, speech balloons were used. The game itself is based on exploration of successive three-dimensional locations shown in a side view (2.5D). In the video, we see, among other things, how the protagonist overcomes successive obstacles, shoots encountered opponents and hides to avoid detection.
It is worth mentioning that Liberated is a game set in a dystopian future, in which people are being invigilated by means of modern technology. This state of affairs does not is a reason for discontent to the title group, which is fighting for freedom. The whole story is supposed to present the fate of several characters, standing on both sides of the conflict. The title will first hit PC and Nintendo Switch, which should take place in the second quarter of this year.
