The Witcher 4 devs support vampire RPG from Rebel Wolves. „Anyone trying to pit these games against one another is doing the devil's work”

Some gamers point to the superiority of The Witcher 4 over The Blood of Dawnwalker and vice versa. Game developers have joined the argument, pointing out that they make no sense.

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by the director of The Witcher 3, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has officially revealed its first RPG game The Blood of Dawnwalker. We had the opportunity to see the first trailer and very short fragments of gameplay. Also, the developers themselves told us a bit about the title.

As expected, many people are comparing the new game to The Witcher 4, which was announced a month ago. This is understandable, considering that many former CD Projekt RED developers are working on The Blood of Dawnwalker. Unfortunately, arguments also arose over which game was better presented.

CDPR supports Rebel Wolves

The devs of both games don't share the players' thoughts. Patrick Mills, quest designer for Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, conveyed that such quarrels make no sense, as both studios support and cheer for each other.

Anyone trying to pit these games against one another is doing the devil's work. These teams have a long history together, we hang out together, we play games together, our group chats are full of kudos to the respective teams. Nothing but love here.

In turn, CDPR's communication manager, Pawel Burza, shared a telling gif with the simple question: "why not both?", suggesting that both games can coexist. Meanwhile, Phillip Weber, the narrative director of The Witcher 4, agreed with Milis's opinion in his own post.

We joked today with Tomaszkiewicz [creative director of The Blood of Dawnwalker] about how the eyes in darkness for both our trailers used references from Midnight Mass to sell the idea early on.

Lots of devs between our two games and studios are friends, and we like to see our friends succeed!

Furthermore, Tomaszkiewicz himself joined the debate, agreeing with the post that suggested both games appear very promising and can coexist. Pawel Panasiuk, the marketing leader of Rebel Wolves, holds the same opinion.

I also don't see the point in these types of arguments, especially since we're talking about games about which we know almost nothing or relatively little. Both The Blood of Dawnwalker and The Witcher 4 can be great games and there is nothing to stop you from simply enjoying both at the same time.
