Forza Motorsport Fails on Steam; Poor Ratings and Little Interest
Players on Steam have not received the latest installment of Forza Motorsport very well. The game received many negative reviews and is not very popular.
Forza Motorsport officially debuted three days ago on Game Pass and Steam, among others. It seems that it can already be admitted that Microsoft's exclusive title recorded an unsuccessful start on Valve's platform, as evidenced by the number of negative reviews.
Steam users have "mixed" feelings
The latest Forza Motorsport is highly rated by critics, but this opinion is not shared by gamers who have checked out the racing game on Steam.
- So far, Turn 10 Studios' work has been rated just over 1,600 users. Only 43% of their reviews are positive, which is a meager result, considering the popularity of the brand and its reception so far.
- The number of concurrent users on Valve's platform is also not the best. As of this moment the all-time peak for Forza Motorsport is only 4703 people.
Let's point out that Forza Motorsport is currently the lowest-rated game in the series on Steam, counting also the Horizon sub-series. In addition, players there have access to Forza Horizon 4 (89% positive reviews, record: approx. 40,000 players one month after its debut) and Forza Horizon 5 (88% positive reviews, record: approx. 80 thousand players in the all-time peak around launch).
Forza Motorsport - what the players don't like
In the discussion on the platform, some players are wondering when the developers will release an update. Judging by the comments, this question may be justified.
"Terrible career mode, lack of any racing events, no way to extend races. The artificial intelligence is the worst. They drive as if you don't exist on the track at all. A five-year-old child is smarter (...)," these are just some of the allegations raised by gabxzer, who spent more than 20 hours in the game.
"I cannot give this game a positive review. I am a big fan of Forza, but Turn 10 really did not nail this installment. (...) this game is NOT worth $100,"wrote Mr.Kitters the Friendly Cat after playing almost 30 hours.
Recall that Forza Motorsport is the eighth installment in the series. The previous part - Forza Motorsport 7 - was released in 2017.
The latest Forza Motorsport can be played on Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC. The production is also available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass services.
