The eighth installment in an iconic series of racing games and a reboot of sorts. Forza Motorsport was created nearly entirely from scratch by Turn 10 Studios. The game features new tracks, cars, advanced physics and ray tracing.
Forza Motorsport is the eighth installment of a bestselling racing game series originating from 2005. Like the previous installments, it was developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft.
Mechanics
Forza Motorsport has the player participate in races all around the globe. The track roster includes some returning locations, such as Maple Valley, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Laguna Seca Raceway, as well as some entirely new tracks, such as the South African Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and the Japanese Circuit Hakone. Players can drive various vehicles, including exotic super-fast cars, more common sports cars and some vehicular legends in its own right, Cars can be modified cosmetically and mechanically.
The developers did their best to make each race feel as realistic as possible. All the tracks and cars were created from scratch, the time of day and the weather change during the race, the physics have also been improved; factors such as asphalt temperature, rainfall, rubber compound used in tires and tire wear all affect traction. Players must now also manage fuel. Cars can still be damaged during races, the damages remaining significant.
Game modes
Forza Motorsport supports singleplayer and multiplayer.
Technical aspects
Yet another aspect Forza Motorsport created anew from scratch are its visuals. Compared to the previous game, this one stands out primarily due to ray tracing, providing realistic reflections on windows and cars. The game overall is much more detailed. Vehicles suffer realistic damages during races, ranging from minor scratches to clearly visible dents. Yet another new detail is that cars get progressively filthier during the race.

The PC and Xbox counterpart of Gran Turismo is finally back! I was expecting more new features, but maybe being faithful to the original concept makes sense after all. Forza Motorsport promises to be a prettier and more polished iteration of tried ideas.

GamesRadar+: 3.5 / 5 by Justin Towell
Forza Motorsport's fantastic online racing, brilliant weather effects, and liquid-smooth game engine are at odds with the dull, one-note offline gameplay that's nowhere near as fun as that of its superlative predecessor. Turn 10 has delivered a racing game that's slicker than ever, but also a bit of a step backwards.
VideoGamer: 9 / 10 by Antony Terence
Forza Motorsport’s refined handling, next-gen visuals, and responsive physics tempt you with an accessible yet familiar thrill, especially when you avoid spiraling into a bend.
Metro GameCentral: 8 / 10 by Nick Gillett
A fabulously detailed racing game with a huge car roster and engrossing single-player modes, slightly marred by forcefully encouraging you to perform practise laps before races.

- Career Mode: Many players find the career mode to be limited and lacking depth, with some calling it boring or an afterthought.
- Penalty System: The game's penalty system is criticized for being inconsistent and poorly implemented, leading to frustrations during races.
- Performance Problems: Users report issues with game crashes, stuttering, and poor optimization, particularly on PC.
- Limited Multiplayer Options: Some players express disappointment over the matchmaking and multiplayer experience, noting that it can be chaotic and unbalanced.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users

- Enhanced Customization Options: Some players expect more visual customization options for cars, similar to previous titles in the series.
- Offline Play: A few users mention the need for more offline functionalities, as certain modes require an online connection.
