Football Manager 2024 Took Just 59 Days to Reach 6 million Players
Football Manager 2024 has been a huge success. More than 6 million people have already played the latest incarnation of the brand.
Sports Interactive has reasons to be pleased. The team boasted of impressive results for the latest installments of its footbal manager series.
- In all of last year's incarnations of the brand (so, in addition to Football Manager 2024 also FM 2024 Mobile, Touch and Console) has already been played by more than 6 million people.
- This impressive result was achieved in just 59 days.
- Sports Interactive reports the number of players, not copies sold, as the Football Manager 2024 and Football Manager 2024 Console are available as part of Game Pass subscription. In addition, FM 2024 Mobile can be downloaded for free by Netflix subscribers.
- FM2023 editions were the first in the history of the series, which managed to cross the threshold of 6 million players, but it took them as long as 284 days. These games were also available on Game Pass.
Recall that Football Manager 2024 Mobile is available for iOS and Android mobile devices, Football Manager 2024 Touch came out for Nintendo Switch and iOS, and Football Manager 2024 Console on Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Let's also not forget the PC-based Football Manager 2024. All of these items were released on November 6, last year.
The 2022 editions were released for exactly the same hardware platforms. The only novelty is that FM 2024 Mobile is available for free to Netflix subscribers. What's more, that's the only way to get the game, as you can't download it without having a subscription to this streaming service. This was probably a very good move, judging by the lightning-fast pace at which this year's installment surpassed 6 million players. However, we also think that many players discovered the series earlier thanks to Game Pass, and this time they started playing quickly after the release of the new installments.
