In this guide, we will provide a solution to resolve this problem.
Fix for Star Trek Infinite Crashes or not launching
The official grand strategy game within the Star Trek universe is a highly anticipated release, but unfortunately, not all players have been able to enjoy it due to crashes. This issue typically occurs shortly after the game's launch or simply the game does not launch at all. The good news is that there is a relatively simple fix.
To solve this problem, players can run the game in windowed mode, which may initially seem challenging as the title crashes before the main menu. However, you can enable this option within the Paradox launcher, which pops up before the game starts. Simply navigate to the Settings menu on the left side and select the appropriate option.
If the above does not work, you may also try to disable temporarily your antivirus (of course, you do it on your risk). However, some players report that it can be a cause of crashes at the beginning of the campaign or tutorial.
Currently, running the game in windowed mode is the primary workaround for this issue, although it may not be an ideal solution for everyone. However, it will allow affected players to enjoy the game. Since many fans have encountered this problem, it is likely that an official fix will be released in the near future, ensuring a smoother gaming experience for all.
