First of all, however, it should be noted that at the time of writing this news, the PC version of the gameboasts an average rating of 86% (there were even some tens among the 23 notes) on Metacritic; the releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have not yet received enough reviews.

- Windows Central - 100/100;
- COGconnected - 90/100;
- Shacknews - 90/100;

Let's start with the fact that the greatest strength of Wasteland 3 is the wide range of possibilities that the developers offer. Additionally, the world reacts to our actions and changes depending on the decisions we make during the game. This makes the game a kind of "benchmark" for the entire RPG genre in the future. Reviewers also praise the work of inXile Entertainment for its sophisticated combat system, as well as well thought-out and extensive locations. The engaging story layer, as well as perfectly written dialogues and well-designed characters also deserve praise.
As for the drawbacks, some reviewers are somewhat skeptical of the visuals that "don't look terrible, but are certainly not beautiful either". One can also raise some issues with optimization of the PC version (loadings can get longer even after installing the game on an SSD). Besides, small bugs appear from time to time, and in some locations the sounds are "looped". In the above list, the rating given by the editors of Eurogamer Italy stands out, crowned by the statement that "Wasteland 3 is a good RPG that uses the old formula".
Finally, Wasteland 3 will make its debut on PCs, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 28 (available on Xbox Game Pass from the day of launch).
