Brian Fargo Excited About New Game
Brian Fargo, creator of such titles as Wasteland 3 and Fallout 2, announced that inXile Entertainment is working on a new game. Unfortunately, we shouldn't expect news about it anytime soon.
Devs at inXile Entertainment, which recently gave us Wasteland 3 and Torment: Tides of Numenera, are working on a new game. An entry on this subject was posted on Twitter by Brian Fargo, founder and CEO of the American developer. Fargo, who many years earlier was responsible for the iconic first two installments of the Fallout series, did not reveal even half a detail about the emerging game. He stated only that he is very excited about the graphics, the project and the scenario.
The American beats his breast, because he realizes that announcing games like this, games the community will not see for a long, long time, is simply cruel. When asked by one of the Twitter users if it's enough to wait until the end of the year for the first details, Fargo replied: "longer...". Still, it's good to know that the developers are working on something big and ambitious (or at least it seems that way). Especially since this kind of information creates room for speculation.
Their direction certainly depends on which of the series co-created by Brian Fargo one likes best. Torment fans would not disdain another installment, better than the one from 2017, and players of the warmly received Wasteland 3 (and decent Wasteland 2) would probably be happy to hear about the creation of the fourth game. Even fans of The Bard's Tale series would applaud a possible fifth game. Of course, Fargo and his team can also be creating a completely new IP or...
Or they're working on Fallout 5. It's not impossible, since both inXile and Bethesda belong to Microsoft now. Think about it - a full-fledged installment, returning to the post-apocalyptic world shown in isometric view (or first-person perspective), being developed (to some extent) by the people who worked on Fallout and Fallout 2. Is there anything Brian Fargo could be more excited about?
