Final Fantasy XVI, the next part of the iconic series of jRPGs from Square Enix has launched. This game, foe now a temporary exclusive, was met with a very good reception from the critics.
- The game was released exclusively on PlayStation 5, although there are also plans to release it on PC (at a later date).
- The standard edition is available for purchase at the official PlayStation store for $69.99.
- For the Deluxe version with a digital mini soundtrack and artbook, players will have to pay $89.99.
New robes of the king of jRPGs
The 16th Final is in many ways a revolutionary title. It introduces many changes compared to the previous parts, and not only those mechanical, but also those relating to the climate and atmosphere of the game world.
The changes - even the radical ones - were to the liking of the vast majority of journalists. On opencritc the game enjoys an average rating of 90% (based on 89 reviews), and critics praise almost every aspect of the gameplay, emphasizing that the game has nevertheless retained the spirit of the series.
Almost bug-free title
What is particularly interesting is the fact that Final Fantasy XVI, despite its phenomenal visuals, is supposed to work flawlessly from the start. The game, according to those already playing, is supposed to be almost free of bugs and glitches - an exception in the video game industry in recent times.
Although, of course, minor problems occur here and there, there is no need to hastily "patch" the title.
