Final Fantasy VII Remake - New Gameplay Trailer, More Info Inbound
During yesterday's PlayStation State of Play presentation, Square Enix revealed a new trailer of the refreshed version of the cult jRPG Final Fantasy VII. The material focuses on combat but shows some other things as well.
During the latest State of Play, Square Enix showed another trailer of the highly-anticipated refreshed version of Final Fantasy VII, the iconic jRPG. The material lasts over a minute and focuses on spectacular action. We also had an opportunity to see how the new models of several key characters - the main protagonist Cloud Strife and his companion Aerith Gainsborough - present themselves. It was also reported that new information on the title will be presented in June, most likely during E3 2019.
We would like to remind you that the refreshed version of Final Fantasy VII was announced in June 2015 during the Sony conference at E3 (PlayStation 4 is the only confirmed target platform). For some time we were getting more information about this title - among other things about changes in the game against the original, as well as the decision to divide the story into several episodes, which will become separate games. Unfortunately, later the creators went silent, and the fans got mainly backstage information about the problems encountered during the game's development. It's good to know that something has moved and the game hasn't been abandoned.
Original Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997 on the first PlayStation (after which the game was ported to many other platforms) and is still considered one of the most iconic titles in the history of the jRPG genre.
